September 7, 1918 –  August 23, 2011  GAINESVILLE- Funeral services for Linnie Elizabeth Dutton, 92, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro with Rev. Hollis Parsons officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Sandusky. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 P.M. Friday, August 26, 2011 at the funeral home. Mrs. Dutton passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at North Texas Medical Center in Gainesville.
Linnie was born on September 7, 1918 in Callisburg, Texas to William Dudley and Lucy Jane (Matthews) Boaz. She married Delbert Wesley Dutton on September 12, 1936 in Gainesville, Texas. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church of Gainesville. Linnie enjoyed gardening, quilting, canning and taking pictures. She loved to go to her family reunions and spending time with all of her family. Linnieâ??s children and grandchildren were the loves of her life. She was a caring person and never turned anyone away from her table.
Survivors include 2 sons, William â??Billâ? Dutton of Whitesboro and Delbert Dutton and wife Cheryle of Highland Village; 2 daughters, Gwen E. Carver of Gainesville and Viola â??Janieâ? Terry and husband Ron of Whitehouse; grandchildren, Clint Dutton, Sharon Hess, Karen Gregg, Jackie Bryan, Scott Cox, Daniel Cox, John Dutton, Gene Dutton, Stephen Dutton, Kyle Terry and Chris Terry; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Wesley Dutton; daughter, Jimmie Louise Dutton and grandson, Keith Dwayne Terry.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
