November 18, 1919 – March 9, 2008 COLLINSVILLE รข?? Funeral Services for Lillie Mae Calvert, 88, will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Allen Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Collinsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Calvert passed away Sunday, March 9, 2008 at the Countryside Nursing & Rehab Center in Pilot Point.
Lillie was born October 18, 1919 in Montague County, Texas to Emmitt and Grace (Poage) Weed. She married Calvin Pearson Calvert on Feb. 9, 1938 in Enoches, Texas. Lillie worked in the shipyards in San Francisco, CA as a welder during World War II. She was a wonderful homemaker and mother. Lillie was also a beautician and grocery store owner in Muleshoe, Texas. She was a member of the Collinsville Bible Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Calvin Dwyan Calvert of Lufkin and Gordon Lee Calvert of Huntington, a daughter, Margie Eyvone Hastings of Collinsville, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmitt and Grace Weed, her husband, Calvin Pearson Calvert, four sisters and two brothers.
Pallbearers will be Paul Hodgkinson, Benton Hodgkinson, Robby Peyrot, Chris Calvert, Al Ross and Charlie Brunner.
