November 8, 1920 –  January 27, 2016  Lillie Catherine RogersLillie Catherine Rogers, 95, of Gainesville, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Denton. She was born in Valley Mills, Texas November 8, 1920 to George and Aurelia Jarrell. She was married to D. L. Rogers April 13, 1942 in Gainesville.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 1st at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville with Rev. Randy Webb officiating. Interment will follow in New Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Survivors include her children Doyle Rogers of Gainesville and Richard Rogers and wife Sara of Soper, Oklahoma; brother, Bill Jarrell of Lindsay, Texas and sister, Dorothy Peipelo of San Antonio, Texas; 9 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband D. L. Rogers in 2010; sister, Willie Rankin, brother, Frederick Jarrell, brother, Pinkney Jarrell, sister, Jessie Dennis and grandson Charlie Doyle Rogers.
