Lavada B. Sanders, 99, of Collinsville, Texas was called to her eternal home on Thursday, January 27, 2022.

Lavada was born on March 30, 1922 in Whitesboro, Texas to Arthur and Ivy (Moore) Huie.  She enjoyed sewing, tea parties, and raising her own quarter horses.  She was a loving wife and mother.  Her greatest joy was taking care of her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Dent of Haltom City; daughter, Linda Lee Luttrell of Haltom City; grandchild, Windy Bryant; great-grandchildren, Tanner Bryant, Coleton Molina and sister, Wanda Jean Bilyeu.

Lavada was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Ive Huie, husband, Walter Lee Sanders, daughter, Joyce Sanders, grandchild, James Lee Dent, three sisters, Maudene Reeves, Eline Skinner, Pauline Huie, and two brothers, Arthur “Jr.” Huie and JB Huie.

Funeral services honoring Lavada will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro.  Interment will follow at Allison Cemetery in Gordonville.  A time of visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
