Laura Beth Whitfill, 38, of Silsbee, Texas (formerly of Whitesboro) was called home to a joyous reunion with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 6, 2022.

Laura was born on May 25, 1984 in Sherman, Texas to Lynn and Kathy (Acker) Thomas.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Whitesboro and has worked for Whitesboro Independent School District for the last three years. She was a graduate of Whitesboro High School and Grayson County College. Laura enjoyed crafts, making t-shirts, and traveling, going to Disney World, Universal Studios, and the beach were among some of her favorite places to go and visit.  She loved her family; Ben and their daughter Charlie were her life.  She cherished the time she spent with them and with the rest of her family.

She is survived by her husband, Ben Whitfill of Silsbee; parents, Lynn and Kathy Thomas of Whitesboro; daughter, Charlie Whitfill of Silsbee; sister, Kara Farmer and husband, James of Whitesboro; in-laws, Dee and Gary Whitfill of Silsbee; sister-in-law, Jennifer Hedges and husband, David of Petrolia; sister-in-law, Stacy Blaylock and husband, Steven of Rockwall; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Laura was preceded in death by her grandparents, J.T. and Gladys Acker, Dwight and Jean Thomas, and sister-in-law, Amy Whitfill.

Funeral services honoring Laura will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 19, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church in Whitesboro, officiated by Rev. Chad McSwain.  A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro.
