February 26, 1908 –  January 25, 2006  Whitesboro – LaRue Temple Lewis, age 97 passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at the Whitesboro Nursing Center.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Omaha, Nebraska.

Mrs. Lewis was born February 26, 1908 in Norcatur, Kansas to William L. Temple and Sarah L. (Bell) Temple.

LaRue married Edwin N. Lewis in Bethany, Nebraska.

Mrs. Lewis was a bookkeeper and was a longtime member of the Northside Christian Church in Omaha, Nebraska.

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Cooper and husband Bob of Harlingen and Sandra Humes and husband Jack of Whitesboro; a sister, Ethel Temple Jensen of Sterling, Alaska; 13 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin L. Lewis and two sons, Robert F. Lewis and Edwin L. Lewis.
