June 23, 1941 –  November 28, 2011  June Kuykendall passed away Monday, November 28, 2011 at Presbyterian Hospital in Denton at the age of 70. June was born in Muenster, Texas on June 23, 1941 to Jace and Helen (Pilgreen) Poyner. She graduated from Forestburg High School and married Kenneth Kuykendall January 31, 1959. Mrs. Kuykendall retired after twenty-five years with the Cooke County Sheriffâ??s Office. She loved playing volley ball and spending time with her teammates. She also loved to ride horses and was a member of the Gainesville Riding Club. June enjoyed riding four wheelers on the farm and feeding the fish. She was a member of Prairie Point Church of the Nazarene.
Funeral services for June Kuykendall, of Valley View, will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 30th at Prairie Point Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Larry Wright and Rev. Ricky Kerr officiating. Interment will follow at Perryman Cemetery in Forestburg. Sheriffâ??s Deputies will serve as pallbearers with Sheriffs serving as honorary bearers. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Clement-Keel Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kuykendall is survived by her husband, Kenneth â??Ottâ? Kuykendall of Valley View; sons, Kenny Kuykendall and his wife, Laure of Valley View, Rickey Kuykendall of Burneyville, OK and Jeffrey Kuykendall of Wilbur, Washington; grandchildren, Kasey Kuykendall and wife Natasha, Kelli Crisp and husband Dwayne, Kimberly, Kolby, Kevin, Kaylee, Kamree, Kenadee, Kaden and Kaleb; great-grandchildren, Kamden, Rowdy and Beaudy; sister Sue Sutton and her husband Travis of Rosston; sister-in-law, Tommye Hargrove of Decatur and brother-in-law Ross Sutton of Rosston. She was preceeded in death by her parents, Jace and Helen Poyner; sisters, Betty Poyner and Brenda Kay Sutton and nephew, Darin Sutton.
