July 14, 1934 –  December 26, 2015  Judy Edna MeffordGainesville resident Judy Edna Mefford, 81, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Addington, Oklahoma June 14, 1934 to Ed and Gladys Newman. Judy married Jim Mefford June 25, 1955 and was married for 60 years.. She was a church secretary.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30th at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville with Rev. Ron Mefford officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Mefford of Gainesville; son, Perry Mefford of Rowlett, Texas; 2 grandchildren, Heather Mefford and Daniel Mefford of the Dallas area;
sisters, Bobbie Echols of Colorado, Brenda Finley of Pennsylvania and Rosetta Newman of Denton; brothers, Ronnie Newman and Redgie Newman of New Jersey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Nancy and Irene and brother Charlie Newman.
