September 8, 1950 –  September 18, 2016  Celebration of Life Services for Judy Diane (Swank) Mokhtari, 66, of Whitesboro, will be held Monday, September 26, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Whitesboro with Rev. Mike Flanagan officiating. Judy passed away Sunday, September 18th at Texoma Medical Center, Denison, Texas, with her loved ones by her side.Judy was born September 8, 1950, to Owen and Mary (White) Swank in Abilene, Texas. Judy worked for the British Embassy in Iran. She was a lobbyist in Washington, D.C. during Watergate in the 1980’s. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and traveled throughout many countries for her work and family. She lived a very interesting life and was a brave, strong willed woman, she was a fighter. She was a member of ILG (International Ladies Group). Judy was loved by all her friends and family both in the United States and Iran and will be greatly missed. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Whitesboro, Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Behrooz Mokhtari of Iran; son, Omid Ross Mokhtari of Iran; daughter; Jessica Hasti-Mokhtari and husband, Nima Goleyas of Iran; granddaughter, Emma Leyli Goleyas of Iran; sisters, Rita Franklin and husband, Strike of Sanger and Janice Phelps of Whitesboro; brother, Don Swank and wife, Sandy of North Richland Hills, as well as several nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Owen and Mary Swank.
