March 29, 1939 –  June 30, 2009  WHITESBORO â?? Funeral Services for Judith Marie â??Judyâ? Boren, 70, will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July, 3, 2009 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. James Varner and Rev. Albert Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Macomb Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at the funeral home.
Judy passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Integrity Transitional Hospital in Denton.

She was born on March 29, 1939 in Denison to Owen Lee Cassell and Helen (Fusch) Cassell. Judy married H.P. Boren on Dec. 2, 1960 in Whitesboro. She was an avid bird watcher and she enjoyed fun and memorable shopping excursions with friends and family. Judy was the matriarch of her family, influential in the lives of all those closest to her. Even though her health had declined over the years, her mind and spirit remained vibrant. She enjoyed organizing and participating in family gathering, bringing and keeping her family close together. She was the catalyst in creating a special bond among her family. She dearly loved her family and friends and that love was returned by all. She will be greatly missed and leaves behind a void within our lives. Her memory and love shall remain forever deeply embedded within our hearts.

She faithfully fulfilled her duties as a military wife; she assumed the role as both mother and father during her husbandsâ?? tours of duty. Judy accompanied her husband over seas and the United States during his military career.

Survivors include her husband, H.P. Boren of Whitesboro, 2 sons, Mark Boren and wife, Debra of Sadler, and Norman Boren and wife, Sharon of Sadler, 3 daughters, Mary Beth Stout and husband, Clifford of Arlington, Cynthia Boren of Southmayd, and Vickie Hellman and husband, Jeff of Lindsay, 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, James Lee Cassell of Denison, Billy Joe Cassell of Savoy, and Harold Davey Cassell of Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, George Cassell and a grandson, Vinnie Land.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
