August 16, 1954 –  May 5, 2016  Funeral Services for Joyce Lynne Woolsey, 61, of Gordonville, Texas, will be held Saturday, May 7, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Hardwick officiating. Interment will follow at Gordonville Cemetery. Joyce was called to her Heavenly Home on Thursday, May 5th surrounded by her family at her home in Gordonville. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home, Whitesboro, Texas.She was born to James Raymond and Dorothy Marie (Jarvis) Hitchcock on August 16, 1954, in Greenbay, Wisconsin. She married Roger Woolsey on May 22, 1975, in Gainesville, Texas. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Gordonville. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family. Joyce was a beloved wife, mother, Nanny, sister and daughter and will be greatly missed by all. Her family would like to give a special “thanks” to Home Hospice of Grayson County and the Sherwood Shores Volunteer Fire Department.
She is survived by her husband, Roger Woolsey of Gordonville; daughter, Michelle Stone and husband, Brian of Gordonville; grandchildren, Lindsay Bumpus and Darys Stone; mother, Dorothy Anthony of Whitesboro; sisters, Kathy Howell and husband, Kenny of Mandeville, LA and Sandy Boggs and husband, John of Whitesboro; brothers, Ronny Hitchcock and wife, Cathy of Melissa, TX and Tommy Hitchcock of California, as well as, numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Brian Stone, John Boggs, William Woolsey, Jace Woolsey, Ryan Colteryahn, and Michael Hitchcock. Honorary pallbearers will be Darys Stone, Bryan Sprinkle and Tim Bilderback.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Raymond Hitchcock and sister, Debbie Zion.
