July 9, 1930 –  March 21, 2012  WHITESBORO â?? Hester â??Joyceâ? Eldredge, 81, went to meet her Lord on Wednesday, March 21, 2012. She was born on July 9, 1930 in Byers, Texas to Charles G. and Alma Long. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Patterson officiating. She will be interred at Sadler Cemetery in Sadler, Texas.Joyce was married to Billy Eldredge on April 1, 1950 in Ardmore, OK.
Joyce was employed by the City of Whitesboro for 25 years and retired in 1995. She was a member of North Union Church of Christ. She was a great cook who loved to host family events. She loved spending time with her family. â??MamMawâ?, as she was lovingly called by her grandchildren, especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include: son, Jimmy Eldredge and wife, Penny, of Sherman, TX; daughter, Mary Ann and husband, John Williams of Whitesboro, TX; grandchildren include: Heather and husband, Jimmy Bartley of Oklahoma City, OK; David Eldredge and wife, J. J. of Whitewright, TX; Ryan Williams and Ashley of Anna, TX; Michael Eldredge of Georgia; Sabrina and husband, Jason Ball, of Ft. Worth, TX; and Shannon Williams of Whitesboro, TX; great grandchildren include: Taylor Bartley, Cole and Regan Eldredge; Haegen and Rylan Williams: Tyler Williams; Steven and Trace Canady: Parker and Landon Eldredge; Wyatt and Lilah Grace Ball; and Mason, Kyler and Avery Simmons. She is survived by one brother, Mike Long of Ft. Worth, TX; and a sister-in-law, Hilda Long of Ft. Worth; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a special friend, Larae Jack and his family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy Eldredge; brothers: Charles, David, Don and James Long; and sister, Mary McChesney.
Family night will be held from 6-7 p.m. on Friday, March 23, 2012. Memorials can be made to Grayson Home Health or North Union Church of Christ on her behalf.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Williams, David Wissore, Beau King, Dalton King, Jason Ball, and Terry Jack.
