January 23, 1973 –  November 5, 2011  Jon Paul Preston, age 38, of Whitesboro, Texas, was delivered into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, November 5, 2011.
Jon was born on January 23, 1973 to Paul Dale Preston of Whitesboro and Marion Sue (Wilson) Preston of Dallas, TX. He was the sparkle in the eye of his wife of 10 years, Belinda Roebuck Preston. He was everything a daddy could be for his son J. J. Preston.

Big Jon and Jon Boy, as he was called, was a hard-working family man. He lived his life by spoiling family and friends with his love and friendship. Jon was often seen riding the golf cart on Ferguson Rd with Belinda and JJ on board, driving his 18-wheeler, helping someone fix something, riding his dirt bike, cooking ribs and brisket for family and friends, or being outdoors with one his many â??muttley crewâ? dogs. Jon was a â??jack of all tradesâ? and a master on any type of machinery. He was a wonderful, kind Texas-sized man with a Texas-sized heart. He was a Texas Longhorn fan and inspiration to many in the motocross and supercross world.

Jon is survived by his wife Belinda; daughter Lanie Dawn King and husband, David, of Gainesville, TX; 6-yr old son, J. J. of Whitesboro, TX; parents: Paul Preston and Marion Preston; sisters Barbra Minami and husband, Chuck, of Kaneohe, HI; Kathy Kelsey of Anna, TX; Amy Lambert and husband, Tim, of Forney, TX; step-brother, Mark Lyle; grandchildren Landon Dwayne King and Delilah Dawn King; mother-in-law, Phyllis Roebuck of Whitesboro, TX; â??adoptiveâ? family, The Brannanâ??s, of Whitesboro, TX; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jody J. Preston.

Pall Bearers will be Kevin Brannan, Brandon Helms, Joel Hendry, Brian Stone, Lorne Minnick, Jake Chambers, Tad Ferguson, and Felix Cruz.

Visitation will be Friday, November 11, 2011 from 6-8 pm at Meador Funeral Home. Services will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2001 at 2 pm at Meador Funeral Home with Rev. John Reynolds officiating. Interment will be at Dixie Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been set up at Landmark Bank: Jon P Preston Memorial account.

No more tears, no more fears, no more shame, and no more painâ?¦you are in the arms of Jesusâ?? love, in Eternity.
