May 27, 1928 –  January 18, 2011  COLLINSVILLE – Funeral Service for Johnny Graham Vannoy, 82, will be held Thursday, January 20, at the Collinsville Church of Christ at 10:00 a.m. with Ricky Patterson and Scott Sides officiating. All services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro. Family visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 19, at the funeral home.Johnny Vannoy passed away on January 18 at the Homestead of Collinsville.
He was born May 27, 1928 to Leslie Guy and Opal (Graham) Vannoy in Collinsville, Texas. He married Mary Bell on February 18, 1948 in Tioga, Texas. He was a member of the Collinsville Church of Christ. He loved playing dominoes, baseball and softball. He enjoyed attending all Collinsville sports games. He enjoyed time with his family and loved greyhound rabbit hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Vannoy of Collinsville, TX; his son, Troy Vannoy and wife, Tracy, of Collinsville, TX; grandchildren, Stephen Brent Vannoy, Lindsay Vannoy, Barry Vannoy, Bruce Vannoy, Aaron Vannoy, and Jordan Vannoy of Collinsville, TX; and great-grandchildren, Madison Vannoy, Makala Vannoy, Abby Vannoy, and Tessa Vannoy of Collinsville, TX; brother, Wallace Vannoy and wife, Barbara, of Collinsville, TX; and two sisters-in-law, Billie Durden of Sherman, TX and Alma Company of Florida; numerous cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leslie and Opal Vannoy, a son, John Stephen Vannoy, and brothers, Jerry Vannoy and Bill Vannoy.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Brent Vannoy, Lindsay Vannoy, Barry Vannoy, Bruce Vannoy, Aaron Vannoy, and Jordan Vannoy.
