March 24, 1944 –  March 23, 2016  Johnnie Franco, Jr.Johnnie Franco, Jr., 71, passed away March 23, 2016 at University of Texas Southwest of Dallas. He was born to Johnnie Franco, Sr. and Chloe Jane (Howard) Franco, in Seal Beach, California on March 24, 1944. He married Joyce Ann Hamel who preceded him in death in 1970. He married Peggy Joyce Norris.

He was a computer specialist. He was the longest living heart transplant recipient of 16 years.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 30th at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Colwick officiating. Visitation will be held at Meador Funeral Home of Gainesville, Wednesday, March 30th from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Joyce of Tioga, TX; two sons, Tony & Sandra Franco of Princeton, TX and Steven Franco of Tioga, TX; two daughters, Sheila Flatt of Van Alstyne, TX and Rhonda & Joe Colwick of Rockwall, TX; sister, Mary Jane Montanna of Springfield, MO; brother, Greg Franco & Dayna of Chico, CA; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife and his parents.
