WHITESBORO – Funeral services for John Wilton Williams, 70, of Whitesboro will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, officiated by Rev. Doyle Henderson. Interment will follow at Sadler Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.John passed away peacefully from this life on Sunday, May 27, 2018 surrounded by his loved ones at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.

He was born on March 31, 1948 in New Castle, PA to Arthur W. and Betty Black Williams. He graduated from Mercer High school in Pennsylvania in 1966. He and Mary Ann attended his 50th Class reunion in 2016. John served our country in the Air Force for 8 ½ years. He was stationed at Shepard Air Force Base Annex where he met the love of his life, Mary Ann Eldredge. They were married October 8, 1971 at First Baptist church in Whitesboro. After serving in the Air Force, John and Mary Ann settled back in Whitesboro. He worked at Oscar Mayer for 22 years and then went to work for Tetra Pak in Denton. He retired from Tetra Pak in 2016 after starting dialysis treatments. John loved fishing with his dad, father-in-law, brother-in-law and son. He loved and adored his seven grandsons and his one beautiful granddaughter. John loved his dog Bo and his grand-dogs.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann, daughter, Heather Bartley of Mid West City, OK, son, Ryan Williams of Whitesboro, daughter, Shannon Williams of Whitesboro, sister, Rebecca Heineman and husband, Dale, sister, Beth Lea and husband, Clarence, brother-in-law, Jimmy Eldredge and wife, Penny, grandchildren, Taylor Bartley, Tyler Williams, Steven Canady, Trace Canady, Ryker Rudzinski, Haegen Williams, Rylan Williams and Cashton Williams. Step-grandchildren, Mason, Kyler and Avery Simmons as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Dale Thomas, Brian Phelps, Earnie Phelps III, Beau King, Robert Guffee, Jimmy Bartley and Randy Burkhalter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Betty Williams, and mother and father-in-law, Bill and Joyce Eldredge.
