November 9, 1926 –  March 6, 2005  Services for Joe Vestal Dutton, age 78 of Sadler will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Patterson officiating assisted by Rev. Johnny Thompson. Interment will follow in Mount Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M., Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Dutton died Sunday, March 6, 2005 at his residence in Salder.

He was born November 9, 1926 to Clinton Clarence and Bessie Viola (Feagan) Dutton in Basin Springs, TX. He married Jane (Jones) on October 24, 1947 in Sherman, TX.

Joe was a lifetime resident in Grayson County and a member of Central Baptist Church of Whitesboro. He served as a WWII veteran in the U.S. Army. He worked as a pumper in the oil field business, working for Concho Petroleum, Bill Amos, A.O. Phillips. Joe retired from the oil field business in 2003 after 53 years of service.

Mr. Dutton is survived by his wife, Jane Dutton of Sadler; Daughter-in-law, Martha Renfroe of Whitesboro; one Sister, Leavada Melton of Callisburg; 2 Grandchildren, Janey Dutton of Whitesboro and Sandra Thompson of Commerce, GA; 2 Great-grandchildren, Tori and Rylee Thompson of Commerce, GA and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by; Parents, a son, Joe David Dutton; grandson, Matthew Garrett Dutton; 2 brothers, Jack Dutton and Wesley Dutton.

Pallbearers are: Harvey Clark, Ray Bilbrey, Mark Chesnut, Jerry Rollins, Terry O’Toole and Charles Winchester,Jr.

Honorary Pallbearers are: Jimmie Tom McDonnell, Tom Axtell, Allen Harshbarger,Kinky McDonnell and Finley Miller.
