Joe Marion Vaughn, 82, of Collinsville, Texas was called to his eternal home on Friday, March 25, 2022 at his home in Collinsville.

Joe was born in Whitesboro, Texas on December 3, 1939 to William and Verna (Shaddix) Vaughn.  He graduated from Collinsville High School and went on to retire from the United States Navy as a Chief Petty Officer after serving proudly for over 24 years.  Joe enjoyed yard work, wood working and the Dallas Cowboys.

He is survived by his son, John Robert Vaughn of San Diego; daughter, Angela Marie Romero and fiancé, Steve Tedokon of San Diego; nieces, Patricia Williams and husband, Royce; Kathy McKnight and husband, Bob, LaJuana Autry and husband, John; Toni Shipley and husband, Jeff; grandchildren, Kannon Romero, Brodie Romero; stepmother, Edith Vaughn; as well as other loving family and friends.

Joe was preceded in death by parents, William Vaughn and Verna Vaughn, sister, Bobbie Carol Vannoy, and niece, Paula Cox.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a late date.
