November 28, 1922 –  June 4, 2013  WHITESBORO – Graveside services for Jim Arthur Bean, 90, will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Jim passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 in Broomfield, Colorado.

He was born on November 28, 1922 in Dexter, Texas to James Arthur Bean and Mary (Derryberry) Bean. Jim served in the U.S. Navy during WW II aboard the USS Conyngham. He married Mary Kemp on March 29, 1947 in Gainesville, Texas. Jim retired in 1981 as Head of Security for General Motors in Arlington, Texas. He was an avid golfer and loved to garden.

Survivors include a grandson, Bret McInnis and wife, Kelly of Superior, Colorado; 2 great-grandsons, Kyle McInnis of Austin, Texas and Bo McInnis of Superior, Colorado; a sister, Frances Hargesheimer; a nephew, Jerry Turner; and a niece, Sharon DuBose.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Bean; a son, Michael J. McInnis; and his wife, Mary Bean.
