August 9, 1926 –  September 11, 2014  Gainesville resident James Amador, 88, died Thursday, September 11, 2014 at North Texas Medical Center. He was born August 9, 1926. Mr. Amador was a retired construction worker and was of the Catholic faith.
A memorial services for Mr. Amador will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 13th at the home of his daughter on 619 N. Taylor Street. Deacon Gelasio Garcia and family members will officiate.

He is survived by his daughters, Delores Gracia of San Diego, California and Linda Arellano and husband, Felipe of Gainesville; sons, Ernie Castillo of Gainesville and James Amador, Jr. and wife, Gloria of Tijuana, Mexico; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Amador and parents, Joe and Linda (Gardillas) Amador.
