July 31, 1964 –  November 24, 2017  Gainesville resident, Jackie Todd McClendon, 53 passed away Friday, November 24, 2017 at Medical City in Denton. He was born in Colorado City, Texas on July 30, 1964, to James R. and Betty (Kizzar) McClendon. Todd was a Gainesville High School graduate and lived most of his life in Gainesville. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, finding arrowheads and anything that was an antique. He had worked at an exotic animal ranch in West Texas and for Camp Howze.
Graveside Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 29th at Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville with his cousin, Chaplain Johnnie Hudson officiating. There will be viewing at Meador Funeral Home Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Survivors include his mother, Betty McClendon of Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Mike Tanner of Shannon; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and JoAnn McClendon of Weatherford; several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his dad, James McClendon in 1989 and two brothers, Tony and Tracy six weeks apart in 2010.
