November 5, 1917 –  March 15, 2012  Graveside Services for Irene Moody, 94, of Gainesville will be 4 p.m. Saturday, March 17th at Era Cemetery with Rev. Frank Lorne, Pastor of Corinth Baptist Church officiating. No visitation is planned. Services are under the direction of Clement-Keel Funeral Home. Mrs. Moody died Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Renaissance Care Center.
Irene was born November 5, 1917 in Era, Texas to Clifford Bennett and Mary Isa (Roberson) Hudspeth. She was a graduate of Gainesville High School and attended Gainesville Junior College for two years. On June 29, 1942 Irene married Henry H. Moody in El Paso, Texas. She helped him run a dairy in Valley View for many years. She also lived on a quarter horse ranch in Arizona and loved the time she spent there. Mrs. Moody was an excellent cook and seamstress. She loved her family, friends and being a member of TOPS Club. Irene was also a member of Era Baptist Church and Gainesville Riding Club

Survivors of Irene Moody include daughter and son-in-law, LouAnn and Don Gillum of Sanger; son and daughter-in-law, Don and Kay Moody of Sanger; grandchildren and their spouses, Jeffrey and Jona Gillum of Sanger, Jason and Lezlie Gillum of Aubrey, Debra and Brady Graham of Sanger, Lori and Mark Pethtel of Sanger and Scott Shampine of Austin; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Jaret, Wheeler, Jalie, Emma, Mason and was expecting her seventh, Ruby Evyn very soon; and nephew, Jerry Husdpeth of Valley View. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Cecil Hudspeth; sister, Lottie Bell Hollingsworth and nephew, C.E. Hudspeth.
