September 5, 1918 –  August 18, 2010  GORDONVILLE – Celebration of Life Services for Homer Jackson Clift will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2010 at First United Methodist Church, Whitesboro, TX, with Dr. Karen Moore officiating assisted by Glyn Rives.
Homer passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2010, at his residence. He was born September 5, 1918 to Charles Weaver Clift and Dora Delphia (Lewis) Clift. He was married to Wynona Bryan from 1940 until her passing in 2003. He married Carol Kellar January 31, 2004.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Whitesboro. He loved antique clocks, fishing, and baseball, especially the Texas Rangers. He served in the Army Air Corp from 1942-1944 during World War II. He enjoyed working crossword puzzles and fast cars.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Clift of Gordonville, TX; three daughters, Susan McGillis of Passadena, CA and Mary Beth Clift of Henderson, NV; Larissa Burch and husband, Philip of Gordonville, TX; four sons, Stan Clift and wife, Karen of Big Pine, CA; Allen Rodriguez and wife, Becki of Tucson, AZ; Dan Rodriguez and wife, Lynette of Frisco, TX; and Tim Rodriguez and wife Deborah of Blackwell, OK; six granddaughters, four grandsons, and three great-granddaughters; his brother, Jesse Clift of Tupelo, MS and sisters, Betty Ferson of Grandview, WA; and Aline Decoster of Hemet, CA.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wynona Bryan Clift; three brothers and one sister.
