November 24, 1965 –  January 2, 2013  Gainesville resident Henry Meek, 47, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at North Texas Medical Center. He was born in Gainesville, Texas November 24, 1965 to Herbert Henry Meek and Wanda Elaine Skill. Henry was employed by Greg Newman, owner of Cooke County Roofing for several years. His passion was music and he loved playing the guitar.
Funeral Services for Henry Meek will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 6th at Meador-Clement-Keel Chapel. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gary Meek, Jimmy Meek, Josh Meek, Kevin Knighten, Jeff Brandon and Mickey Knighten. No visitation is planned.

Survivors include Mr. Meek’s mother, Wanda Skill of Krum; sons, Travis Johnson of Gainesville and Timothy Meek of Bullhead City, Arizona; daughters, Holly Meek of Bullhead City, Arizona, Rachel Basham of Missouri, Jodi Redman of Missouri, Samantha Singletary of Gainesville, Ashley McGehee of Gainesville and Jessica Brawdy of Krum; brothers, Darrell Meek of Gainesville, Herbert Eugene Meek of Gainesville and Michael Harris of Denton; sisters, Pamela Thompson of Coppell, Michele Brawdy of Krum and, Tina Harrell of Gainesville; six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Robert and Dorothy Meek
