November 16, 1919 – May 27, 2009 WHITESBORO รข?? Funeral Services for Helen Marie Draper, 89, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro, with Rev. Mike Flanagan officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 P.M. Friday, May 29, 2009 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Draper passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at Texoma Healthcare Center in Sherman.
Helen Marie was born on November 16, 1919 to Andrew Jackson and Elizabeth (Hutchins) Perkins in Hope, Arkansas. She later married Joseph C. Draper. Helen was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Whitesboro. She was a mighty prayer warrior and she loved listening to gospel music. Helen was the most amazing person in the world, ever. Her hobbies included gardening and mowing.
Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Harrison of Whitesboro; a son, Larncie Lee Wagoner of Los Banos, California; 5 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren who include Christina Elliott of Sherman and Daniel Booth of Dallas and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings and a grand daughter, Debra Booth.
Deacons of First Baptist Church in Whitesboro will serve as pallbearers.
