Helen leaves behind her husband of 35 years John Hughes, son, David Salling II and wife, Rhonda of Sherman; daughter, Leigh Ann Burks of Whitesboro; daughter, Latrisha Wood and husband, Chris of Sanger; grandchildren, Jennifer Sluder and husband, Toby of Whitesboro; Meagan Salling of Sherman; Chris Burks of Whitesboro; Hayley Krampf and husband, Alan of Lone Grove, Ok.; Jordan Salling of Whitesboro; and Emma McWhorter of Sanger; great-grandchildren, Kendall, Karter, and Karli Sluder of Whitesboro; Lexi Patterson, Jaxson Tollett, and Avery Gentry of Sherman; sister, Robbie Smith and Bill Rice of Denison; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lynn and Brenda Hughes of Whitesboro; Patricia Sellers of Flower Mound; Glenda and Jeff Greb of Arlington, Mavis Hughes of Aubrey as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many loving friends who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Hargesheimer, brothers-in-law, Joe Hughes, David Sellers and Lyndell Hughes, and sister-in-law, Nell Hughes.

As she always said, “I love you more.”
