August 5, 1927 –  October 29, 2014  Hazel Mae White, 87, died Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at her residence in Gainesville. She was born in Collinsville, Texas August 5, 1927 to Floyd William and Ruby (Hester) Phillips. Hazel had been in the community since childhood. Many may not know her by name but would recognize her as the greeter at Walmart where she had worked for over thirty-two years. She was a long-time member of Christian Temple Church. Mrs. White was a godly woman and a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 1st at Christian Temple Church with Rev. Darlene Conner officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be at Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home Friday, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Survivors of Hazel White include daughter, Hazel Delain McDaniels and husband, Jim of Collinsville; son, Clifton Dale Leach and wife, Angie of North Carolina; daughter Sharon Wilcox of Odessa; daughter, Rebecca Devers and husband, Lee of Valley View; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Leach; brother, Junior Phillips and sister, Marie Lewis.
