January 3, 1942 –  August 31, 2016  Funeral Services for Glynda Spence, 74, of Whitesboro, Texas, will be held Saturday, September 3, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doyle Henderson officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, September 2nd from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. She passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at her home after a brief illness.She was born to Glynn Arthur and Annie Jean (Robinson) Phillips on January 3, 1942 in Port Arthur, Texas. Glynda was of the Methodist faith. She had owned and operated Movies To Go in Whitesboro. She and Mack loved to travel and they had been married 55 years, marrying July 15, 1961, in Miami, Oklahoma.
She is survived by her husband, Mack Spence of Whitesboro; son, Alan Spence of Sherman; sisters, Kathy Hupp of Whitesboro and Sherry Cooper of Shawnee, Oklahoma; grandson, Alan Spence, II of Sherman and nephew, Chris Hupp of Whitesboro.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glynn and Jean Phillips; son, Larry Darin Spence and brother, Glynn Arthur Phillips, Jr.
