April 29, 1924 –  April 29, 2005  Houston – Funeral Services for Glenda (Hawkins) Maddox, age 81, will be 11:30 A.M. Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Fite officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. Visitation will be Monday, May 2, 2005 from 6 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Maddox passed away Friday, April 29, 2005 at the Silverado Senior Living Center in Houston.

Mrs. Maddox was born April 29, 1924 in Whitesboro to James H. Hawkins and Nettie (McCluskey) Hawkins. She was retired as a secretary for the DuPont Corporation.

Survivors include a son, Gary Dail Maddox of Houston, TX; a daughter, Sandra Maddox Smith of Scurry, TX; three sisters, Jean Del Giudice of Las Vegas, NV, Ruedean Harwell of Crockett, TX, Patsy Brock of Crockett, TX and a brother, Kenneth Hawkins of Leander, TX; two grandsons, Jason and J. Michael Maddox of Spring, TX and a great-granddaughter, Madison Olivia Maddox of Spring, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Glade Hawkins.
