October 5, 1918 –  October 4, 2004  Funeral Services for Gladys Othelia Ragsdale, age 85, of Collinsville will be 10 A.M. Friday, Oct. 8, 2004 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Hollis Parsons officiating. Interment will follow in Collinsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 P.M. to 8 P.M. Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004 at the funeral home. Mrs. Ragsdale died Monday, Oct. 4, 2004 in Clinton, Miss.
Gladys was born Oct. 5, 1918 in Rock Creek (Grayson Co.), Texas to Ervin and Tyne Elizabeth (Greer) Alexander. She lived all of her life in Grayson and Cooke Counties.

She married Claude Ragsdale on June 1, 1937 in Gainesville, Texas and she spent her married years as a homemaker and a farmer.

Survivors include a daughter: Gloria Coxwell and husband Gene of Clinton, Miss.; 2 sons: David Ragsdale and wife Elaine of Collinsville and James Ragsdale of Ethel. 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Claude Ragsdale; 2 brothers: Hassel and Paul Alexander; a sister: Edythe Hobbs.

Pallbearers will be Mel Coxwell, Jon Burrage, Jeff Busby, Kevin Ragsdale, Stephen Ragsdale, James Ragsdale, Derrell Ragsdale and Kelly Gann.
