November 2, 1924 –  April 20, 2013  WHITESBORO – Funeral services for Geraldine (Franks) Huffhines, 88, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Elder Marlin Harp officiating, assisted by Darrell Johnson. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at the funeral home.
Geraldine passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Whitesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Geraldine was born on November 2, 1924 in Whitesboro to Samuel Enoch and Mary D. Lina (McCormick) Franks. She married Royce Huffhines, Jr. on Sept 15, 1942 in Whitesboro. Geraldine was a member of the Holiness Church of Jesus Christ in Whitesboro. She truly loved the Lord and was a true pastors wife, encouraging her husband and standing by him and his ministry. She loved to write poems and inspired and encouraged others with her writings. Geraldine enjoyed music, gardening and cooking, making the best pecan pie. She loved her family with all her heart.

Survivors include her husband, Royce Huffhines, Jr. of Whitesboro; a daughter, Marsha Johnson and husband, Bill of Burleson; a son, Windell Huffhines and wife, Sandra of Whitesboro; sister, Imogene Turpen of Whitesboro; 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam E. Franks and Lina M. Harrison; and a brother, Howard Franks.

Pallbearers will be, Garry Wiebe, Drew Johnson, Landon McKeehan, Zach McKeehan, Steve McKeehan and Billy Johnson.
