July 6, 1951 –  September 20, 2015  Funeral Services for Valley View resident George Stracener, Jr. will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 23rd at Central Baptist Church in Gainesville with Bro. Eddie Johnson, church pastor officiating. Family visitation will be prior to the service, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery.
George Stracener, Jr. passed away at his residence September 20, 2015. He was sixty-four years of age. George was born in Denton, Texas July 6, 1951 to George C. and Anita (Pickett) Stracener, Sr. He was a veteran of the US Army and a plumber.

Mr. Stracener is survived by brothers, David Stracener and wife, Judy of Slidell, Greg Stracener and wife, April of Perkins, OK, Mark Cather and wife, Marsha of Hideaway, and Michael Cather and wife, Carol of Waxahachie, and sisters, Billie Sturdivant and husband, Coy of Denton, Mary Ellison and husband, Maurice of Denton and Margaret May and husband, James of Valley View.
