February 3, 1928 –  June 21, 2007  WHITESBORO â?? Funeral Services for George Clinton â??Kinkyâ? McDonnell will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 25, 2007 at First Baptist Church in Whitesboro with Rev. Mike Flanagan officiating, services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday, June 24, 2007 at the funeral home.
George Clinton â??Kinkyâ? McDonnell passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2007 at his home in Whitesboro at the age of 79 from Colon Cancer.

George was born on February 3, 1928 to W.C. â??Tomâ? and Mildred (Cunningham) McDonnell in Whitesboro, Texas. He lived his entire life in Whitesboro.

He graduated from Whitesboro High School in 1945 and was in the Merchant Marines. Returning home he worked for his dad in the service station business for several years. He married Juanita Cooper in 1947. George has been an active member in the First Baptist Church, becoming a Christian as a young boy. He was in the cattle business for several years, owned a used car lot, and had rent houses.

George is survived by his wife, Juanita McDonnell of Whitesboro; one son, Clint, McDonnell of Whitesboro; a brother, Jimmie Tom McDonnell of Whitesboro; grand children Dr. Brad Rue and wife Dr. Rebecca Rue of Whitesboro, Justin McDonnell and Lacey McDonnell of San Antonio and two great grandchildren; Uncle James M. Cunningham and wife Ann of Arlington, Texas.

Pallbearers are: Weldon Morgan, Buford Pike, Ed Hayes, Alan Harshberger, Claud Crook, Bob Garvin and Mark Bentley.
