January 6, 1932 –  August 12, 2014  WHITESBORO – Funeral services for Genelle Leona Stuckey, 82, will be held on Friday, August 15, 2014, at 10 a.m. in the Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro, Texas with Rev. Ken Hildebrand. Interment will follow the services at Dixie Cemetery in Whitesboro. Visitation services will be held on Thursday, August 14, from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.She passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at the Whitesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center in Whitesboro, Texas.
Genelle was born on January 6, 1932 in Albert Lea, Minnesota to Olaf and Leona (Heckes) Halverson. She married Leonard Stuckey on December 1, 1984 at the First Baptist Church of Gordonville, Texas. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Whitesboro. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and going to the family farm as well as senior dances. She loved being around people and she especially loved her family. She was always a classy little lady, dressed to the nines with her hair fixed and wearing jewelry.
She is survived by her husband, Leonard Stuckey, of Whitesboro; son, David Laird and wife, Robye, of Whitesboro; daughter, Debbie Knabe and husband, Ed, of Gainesville; step-daughter, Ann Clark of Sadler; step-daughter, Shirley Herron and husband, Gene, of Sadler; six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother, Burton Halverson; and her sisters: Barbara Peterson, Linda Graham, Shirley Halverson, and Betty Nelson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Olaf and Leona Halverson; and first husband, Richard Laird; brother, Jerome Halverson; and sister, Marie Halverson.
Pallbearers will be Austin Ward, Danny Laird, Brad Colwell, Justin Herron, Justin Hosp, and John Hosp. http://videos.lifetributes.com/515722
