December 29, 1940 –  October 17, 2009  GORDONVILLE â?? Memorial Services for Freddie Howard â??Fredâ? McCain, 68, will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Wendyl Glenn of Sherwood Shores Baptist Church officiating.
Fred passed away on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas after a painful battle with heart disease.

He was born on Dec. 29, 1940 in Denton County, Texas and married Mary Lynn Forester on July 8, 1961. Their union lasted 48 years until his death. They were the loves of each others lives.

Through the seventies and early eighties, Fred owned and successfully operated Fredâ??s Body Shop in Denton, Texas. He was very active in the community, sponsoring several championship menâ??s and womenâ??s softball teams.

He was saved and then baptized by Bro. Lester Singleton at Central Baptist Church in Denton, Texas where he and his wife, Mary Lynn, served the Lord for many years as youth directors, touching many young peopleâ??s lives. Their daughters, Rena and Toni were also saved and baptized during this time.

In the late eighties, Fred started his second career as an insurance adjuster for USAA Insurance. He retired in 2003 after 15 years of dedicated service.

Throughout Fredâ??s life, he always worked hard to provide for his family who loved him deeply. We now feel comfort in the knowledge that he is no longer in pain and has gone to be with the Lord who also loves him deeply. We will miss him terribly and he will forever be in our hearts.

Surviving him are his wife, Mary Lynn McCain of Gordonville, Texas; a daughter, Rena McCain McAdams and husband, Alan of Whitesboro, Texas; two grandchildren, Trevor and Tayler McAdams; and two aunts, Gwen Snider and Lois Coss of Denton, Texas.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Toni Denise McCain.
