October 8, 1915 –  October 13, 2008  WHITESBORO â?? Funeral services for Francis Harold â??Jiggsâ? Jackson, 93, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Mathis officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. There will be no formal visitation.
Mr. Jackson passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2008 at his home in Whitesboro.

Jiggs was born on October 8, 1915 in Dixie, Grayson County, Texas to W.C. and Frances (Chisum) Jackson. He married Bennie Lee McDill on December 31, 1958 in Whitesboro, Texas. Jiggs was a Sergeant in the United States Army during WWII. He was a member of the North Union Street Church of Christ; and was a member of the Whitesboro Masonic Lodge # 267, A.F. & A.M. for over 50 years. Jiggs always took care of the neighborhood stray cats and he loved to work in his garden.

Survivors include; two nephews, John Selvig and William Lloyd Walker; four nieces, Charlotte Gontz, Marjorie Sue James, Frances Johnson and Tootsie Herrin; three cousins, James Chisum, Wayne Chisum and Bill Chisum; and two care-givers; Connie Hedrick and Mary Tischler.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bennie Lee Jackson; parents, W.C. and Frances Jackson and siblings, Lloyd Jackson, Kyle Jackson, Wilma Walker, Marjorie Summers, Maybin Selvig, Anna Grace Lopez and infant brothers.

Pallbearers are; Wayne Chisum, James Chisum, Bill Chisum, Jeff Landers, Morris Peregrine and John Skerkis.
