July 7, 1941 –  September 12, 2017  Visitation for Ernest Truman Lane is scheduled for 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 16th at Meador Funeral Home Reception Center. Burial will be at DFW National Cemetery at a later date.
Gainesville resident, Ernest Truman Lane, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at North Texas Medical Center at the age of seventy-six. He was born in Eastland, Texas, the son of Roy and Ernestine (Seals) Lane on July 7, 1941. Truman was a retiree of the US Air Force, serving over twenty years with the K-9 Military Police.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Ann Lane of Gainesville; son, Ernest Truman Lane, Jr. and wife Mary Helen of San Antonio; daughter, Tammy Kollmansberger and husband, Kurt of San Antonio; grandchildren, Mason Lane, Lauren Hernandez, Jayson Martinez, Hannah Kollmansberger, Matthew Kollmansberger, Hailey Martinez and Gabriel Lane; sisters, Margie Sutton, Wanda Goble and husband, James; Ernie Mae Bint and Bonnie Whitaker and husband Dale. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Roy, Jr., Charles, Richard, Bobby, Larry and James Lane and sister-in-law, Nancy Felty.
