April 26, 1937 –  June 26, 2015  Funeral services for Emma Gertie Leverett 78, of Gainesville will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 1st, at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville with Rev. Arthur Green officiating. Roger Henley, Ricky McCaffey, Lee McGilvray, Jared Yousko, Keith Wilkerson and Clegg Hazel will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow in Nelson Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Leverett passed away Friday, June 26, 2015 at Pecan Tree Health and Rehab Center.
Gertie was born in Gainesville, Texas April 26, 1937, to T.J. and Ruby (Lemons) Floyd. She married Bobby Joe Leverett September 8, 1956 in Love County, Oklahoma. She had been employed as a bus driver for Taps.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Christie Leverett of Woodbine and Ronnie and Kathy Leverett of Woodbine; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and brothers Jerry Floyd and his wife, Susie of Fort Worth and Tommy Floyd of Texas.
