April 7, 1919 –  July 9, 2008  WHITESBORO- Funeral services for Emily Viola Robinson, 89, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro. Interment will follow at Gordonville Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 P.M. Friday, July 11, 2008 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Robinson passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at Countryside Nursing Home in Pilot Point.

Emily was born on April 7, 1919 in Whitesboro, Texas to Eldridge W. and Elizabeth (McAlister) Mayo. She married Timothy D. â??Cottonâ? Robinson on February 12, 1938 in Shay, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and a very loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Emily loved gardening and canning.

Survivors include: two sons, Johnnie Wilburn Robinson and wife Joyce of Whitesboro, Claud Elwin Robinson and wife Pat of Whitesboro; sister, Lavona Carr of Gainesville; brother, Bobby Mayo of Fort Worth; six grandchildren, Elwin Robinson of Whitesboro, Jane Shelton of Collinsville, Tim Robinson of Campbell, Janet Robinson of Galveston, Mike Robinson of Sadler, and Ben Robinson of Van Alstyne; five great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two step-grandchildren; eight step great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are: Floyd Robinson, Richard Robinson, Harold Robinson, Darell Mayo, Jack Bell, and David Patterson.

Honorary Pallbearers are: Elwin Robinson, Tim Robinson, Mike Robinson, and Ben Robinson.

Emily was preceded in death by her husband, Timothy D. â??Cottonâ? Robinson; parents, Eldridge W. and Elizabeth (McAlister) Mayo; brother, Son Mayo; sister, Massie Booles.
