July 3, 1918 –  March 1, 2015  Long-time Gainesville resident, Ella “Narcissa” Gray, 96, passed away Sunday evening, March 1, 2015 at Renaissance Care Center. She was born July 3, 1918 in Gainesville, Texas, the daughter of Clyde and Rosanna (Sparks) Washington. Naracissa was a nurses’ aide and a licensed hairdresser before retiring. Mrs. Gray was a member of Mt. Olive First Baptist Church and the Grand Court of Calanthe #18.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 4th at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville with Rev. Preston Brown officiating. Rev. Frank Lorne will be doing the eulogy. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Willie Thomas, Mark Thomas, Donald Manuel, Clyde Lewis, Sr., Carl Newberry and Melton Stone will be serving as pallbearers. No visitation is planned. Survivors include close friend, Ellen Brown and her family of Gainesville.
