September 21, 1935 –  July 15, 2011  SHERMAN – Funeral Services for Elizabeth Joyce McCrary, 75, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Thomas Hoover officiating with Rev. Jim Whitaker assisting. Interment will follow at Dixie Cemetery in Whitesboro.
Elizabeth passed away on July 15, 2011 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.

Elizabeth was born on September 21, 1935 to Vera Moore in the Dexter Community. She married John McCrary Sr., on June 2, 1956 in Grayson County, Texas. Elizabeth worked in the lab at Medical Plaza Hospital for 25 years in Sherman, Texas. She was a member of Gordonville Baptist Church.

Survivors include: a son, John McCrary, Jr.; a daughter, Carolyn Hopper; mother, Vera Moore all of Sherman, Texas; 3 brothers, Tom Moore of Charlottsville, VA, Jim Moore Of Lake Kiowa, Texas and Larry Moore of Howe, Texas; a sister, Barbara Kemp of Van Alstyne , Texas; grandchildren; Weldon Thomison, Jr., Jason Thomison, Robert Hopper, Jr., Elizabeth Hopper, John McCrary III and Betty Fine.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, John Stewart McCrary, Sr., and a son, Weldon Ray Thomison, Sr.
