February 2, 1950 –  May 19, 2016  Funeral Services for Eddy Franklin Foster, Jr., 66, of Whitesboro, Texas, will be held Monday, May 23, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Hank Lovejoy and Rev. Jerry Henry officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Thackerville, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 23, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. He passed away at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas on Thursday, May 19, 2016, with his family by his side.Eddy was born to Ed Franklin and Elsa Verlinden Foster on February 2, 1950, in Thackerville, Oklahoma. He married Charlotte Gaskins on July 31, 1972, in Cooke County. Eddy worked for the City of Whitesboro and was one of the best men in the world. He was a good basketball player in high school and loved to coon hunt and fish with his dad. His sidekick/granddaughter, Hope, loved to fish with her PaPa, as well as his other sidekick/grandson, Kendall Foster, playing baseball, basketball and driving with his PaPa.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Foster of Whitesboro; daughters, Shawna Gaskins and Cathy Foster of Whitesboro; son, Neal Foster of Whitesboro; grandchildren, Kendall Foster, Jr., Hope Foster, Summer Gaskins, Camille Gaskins, and Bubba Gaskins; great-grandchildren, Jace Moncier, Marty Dewayne Gaskins, Bella Hale and Mady McKee; 3 sisters, Anita Wastden and husband, Jim; Terry Faulkenberry and husband, Kim and Robin Sorrell and husband, Jimmy; sister-in-laws, Joyce Jones and Darlene Gaskins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Elsa Foster; son, Kenny Gaskins and brother, Lonnie Foster; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ed and Mary Gaskins and brother-in-laws, Randy Gaskins and Jackie Jones and sister-in-law, Shirley May.
