July 22, 1951 –  December 4, 2015  GAINESVILLE – Mass of Christian Burial for Earlene Marie (Otto) Dennington, 64, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Gainesville with Rev. Gary Picou officiating. Interment will follow at New Rest Haven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, December 7, 2015 at Meador Funeral Home in Gainesville. Earlene passed away on December 4, 2015 at Denton Regional Hospital.
She was born on July 22, 1951 to John Alois Otto and Mathilda Marie (Hoenig) Otto in Muenster, Texas. Earlene married Danny Neil Dennington on August 9, 1969 in Muenster. She loved karaoke and getting her boots and hats on to dance. Earlene was always the life of the party, who never met a stranger. She was a very generous, caring, and loving person; if you knew her, you loved her. Earlene was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Gainesville and the Gainesville VFW Lady’s Auxillary.

Survivors include: four sons, Deryl Dennington and wife, Kelly, of Gainesville, Greg Dennington and wife, Danna, of Lindsay, Christopher Dennington and wife, Renea, of Sherman, and Jeffrey Dennington and wife, Amanda, of Gainesville; a daughter, Denise Dennington of Gainesville; four brothers, Kenny Otto of Gainesville, Jim Otto of Grand Prairie, Jerry Otto of Era, and Ed Otto of Muenster; four sisters, Dolly Davis of Grand Prairie, LaVerne Elliott of Lake Tawakani, Marilyn Carlile of Aubrey, and Carla Wilson of Lake Kiowa; 19 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Earlene was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mathilda Otto; her husband, Danny Dennington; two brothers, Tom Otto and Tony Otto; and a sister, Sharon Otto.
