August 11, 1942 –  December 13, 2013  EARL WAYNE SANGESWHITESBORO ? Celebration of Life services for Earl Wayne Sanges, 71, will be held on Monday, December 16, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Whitesboro, Texas with Rev. Rick Carney and Rev. Bill Perdue officiating. Interment will follow on Tuesday, December 17, at 11:00 a.m. in Coleman Cemetery in Coleman, Texas. All service arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, Texas. Visitation services will be held Sunday, December 15, from 4:00 ? 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
He passed away on December 13, 2013 at Texas Health Presbyterian, WNJ in Sherman, Texas.
Earl was born on August 11, 1942 in Coleman, Texas to Robert E. ?Dutch? and Lena Mae (Meeks) Sanges. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Whitesboro, as well as a member of the ?Dairy Queen Coffee Club?. He was retired from the Dallas Fire Department and was a firefighter for 33 years. He was also a member of the Retired Dallas Firefighters Association. He served in the U. S. Air Force in crash rescue. He currently worked as a bus driver for Gainesville ISD. Earl enjoyed working and collecting cars. He enjoyed snow skiing, poker, fishing, RV-ing, and telling long stories (true or false?). He also loved to sing karaoke. He loved helping people in many ways. He truly enjoyed his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Sanges, of Whitesboro; daughter, Michelle D. Woodside, and husband, Steven, of Charleston, SC; son, Robert B. Sanges, and wife, Treva, of Whitesboro; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lena Mae Sanges.
The pallbearers will be Kirk Jack, Ted Brannon, John Caldwell, Todd Sommers, K. K. Gregg, and Dale Busbice. The honorary pall bearers will be ?Dairy Queen Coffee Club? members: Gene Bryan, Billy Gene Young, Dennis Deneblo, Smoot Earnhart, Charles Whitecotton, and Mike Pack.
