February 14, 1925 –  April 13, 2015  GORDONVILLE – Funeral services for Granny Dot Jaynes (Dottie to all who knew her), 90, will be held Thursday, April 16, 2015, at 10 a.m., at Faith Baptist Church in Gordonville, Texas with Pastor Jim Hardwick officiating. Interment will follow the services at Liberty Cemetery in Gordonville. All service arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro. Visitation services will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.She went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 13, 2015, while in Sherman, Texas.
“Dottie” was born on February 14, 1925 in Leonard, Texas to Carl Milton and Mabel May (Knowles) Hill. She married William T. Jaynes in November 1966.
She is survived by her son, Carl T. Garmon, and his wife, Peggy, of Rowlett; adopted “daughter”, Ida Shorter, of Gordonville; grandchildren: Tommy Lloyd Garmon, Jeff Russell Garmon, Thomas Allen Jaynes, Jr., Chrissy Ann Wood, and Jennifer Jaynes; 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W. T. Jaynes; her parents, Carl and Mabel Hill; and her brothers: Jack Hill and Bob Hill.
