May 25, 1953 –  January 21, 2013  Dorsey Leverne Baker, 59, of Lindsay, died Monday, January 21, 2013 at Methodist Hospital in Dallas. Visitation for Mr. Baker will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home. Interment will be at Restlawn Gardens of Memory in Newton, Kansas.

Dorsey was born in Newton, Kansas May 25, 1953, the son of Dorsey Dewitt and Lavera (Asendorf) Baker. He married Charlette Nancy Taggert July 7, 1977. He had worked for Peterbuilt as an assembly specialist for twelve years and for Borden Chemical for fifteen years as Assistant Manager. Dorsey was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed hunting arrowheads, fishing, restoring antique furniture and watching western movies. He was also an avid football fan and loved spending time with his grandchildren

Survivors of Dorsey Baker include his wife, Charlette Baker of Lindsay; sons, Cory Baker of Gainesville and Zeb Baker of Gainesville; daughter, Kelly Baker Turbeville and husband, Joe of Gainesville; sister, Marilyn Gordon and husband, Jeff of Newton, Kansas and grandchildren, Tyler, Hunter and Walker Turbeville of Gainesville and Emma Jo Baker of Gainesville.
