Funeral services for Dorothy Lee Bean, 91, will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at the Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro, Texas with Rev. Sid Hunter officiating. Interment will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. All services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home. Visitation services will be Friday, February 1, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
She passed away in Whitesboro, Texas on January 30, 2013.

Dorothy was born on July 7, 1921 to Thomas J., Sr. and Mary (Shoemake) Perkins in the Rock Creek community of Grayson County, Texas. She married Paul Bean on December 24, 1939 in Marietta, OK. She was a charter member of the Landmark Baptist Church in Whitesboro, Texas. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and cooking. She enjoyed her family and her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Mark Lee Bean, of Whitesboro, TX; granddaughters: Elisha Lynn Copeland, Malorie Diane Bean, and Sandy Mayo; grandsons: Robbie H. Bean, Christopher Bean, and Michael Bean; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mary Perkins; husband, Paul Bean; daughter, Paulette Bean; son, Robbie G. Bean; sister, Naomi ?Pete? Conner; and brother, Thomas J. Perkins, Jr.
