October 16, 1931 –  February 26, 2017  Gainesville resident Donna L. Robertson Freeman, 85, passed away Sunday morning February 26, 2017 with family by her side. She was born October 16, 1931 in El Dorado, Arkansas, the only child of James Fred and Ivy E. (Donnelley) McCanne. Donna retired from Gainesville Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse. She was an active member of Commerce Street Church of Christ and a volunteer at the Stanford House and hospital. She enjoyed camping, traveling and entertaining family and friends. Donna appreciated humor and she never planned to get old.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 4th at The Commerce Street Church of Christ 602 N. Commerce Street, with Jay Culpepper, church pastor officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Cremation is under the direction of Meador Funeral Home, Gainesville.

Survivors include her son, Kevin Don Robertson of Gainesville; grandchildren, Ryan Keith Robertson, Cory Sean Robertson, Sara Renae Stockinger, Amanda Jane Warden and Mary Elisabeth Maupin; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; step-sister, Peggy Lynn London of Longview and step-brother, Paul Ray Harrison of Euless. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of forty-three years, Henry Joe “Mutt” Robertson, second husband, S.M. Freeman, sons, Kent Lane Robertson and Leslie Keith Robertson; step-son, Billy Frank Robertson; granddaughter, Candace Dawn Robertson; great-granddaughter, Darian Rene Robertson; half-brother, Jimmy Allen McCanne and step-sister, Janice Howell.
