Gordonville – Donald Ray James, 74, of Gordonville, Texas passed away from this life into his eternal life on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas, with his family by his side. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro. Services are planned at a later date in Kentucky. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on April 23, 1943 to Luther and Dorothy (Noe) James.

Donald graduated from high school and went on to college, receiving a degree in business and marketing. He worked as a consultant in sales and management. He married Joyce Ward on December 21, 1963 in Kentucky. Together they raised four children. He loved to fish, to travel and to read, he loved riding his Harley motorcycle, but he especially loved his family.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce James, son, Tim James, son, David James and wife, Shauna, daughter Sherri James, daughter, Melanie James, grandchildren, Kacy James, Katelyn James, Kendall James, Garrett James, Jackson James, Emily James, and brother, Gary James, sister-in-law, Vickie and nephews, Steven James and Nickolas James.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Dorothy James.
