Dickey Mack “Skeezit” Vannoy, 75, of Collinsville, Texas was called to his eternal home on Sunday, September 4, 2022.

Dickey was born on September 4, 1947 in Sherman, Texas to Ivan and Leta Bell (Thompson) Vannoy.  He was a graduate of Collinsville High School class of 1966, and he attended Grayson County College and East Texas State University pursuing a degree in Business and Psychology.  Dickey lived in the small community of Ethel all his life.  He enjoyed ranching, farming, hunting and when he was younger rooster fighting.  He retired from TI and MEMC in Sherman after more than 30 years of service.  He was a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by his nieces, Angela Walston and husband, Dennis of Caddo, OK; Tammy Daniel and husband, Rusty of Pottsboro; nephews, Mike Vannoy of Sherman; and Brian Vannoy of Bedford; sister-in-law, Martha Vannoy of Collinsville; great nephews, Matt, Brandon, Carl, Don, Cody and Britton, great-great-nephews, Luke, Kaden and Carson, great-great nieces, Brylee and Hadley.

Dickey was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Leta Vannoy, brother, Tommy Vannoy, sister, Barbara Dutton, brother-in-law, Don Dutton and nephew, Anthony Dutton.

A Memorial gathering honoring Dickey will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro, officiated by Ricky Patterson.
